What Can I Expect?

The resultant effect, after a few days to a week, is a relaxing of the treated area and a reduction in the appearance of the wrinkles. Treatment is administered via injection, with minimal pain.

How many treatments will I need?

Dr Claire Jacobsohn will prepare and administer the injections. The number of units needed will be dependent on your facial profiling and which area is being treated.  Minimum interval of 12 weeks between treatments is generally advised.

Treatments take effect after 3 to 10 days. Top-ups may be required.

The effect generally lasts three to four months.

Hands and feet require local anaesthetic cream to minimise discomfort.

Hypertrophy of the masseter muscle, may lead to the appearance of a square, masculine jaw.

Treatments with Botulinum Toxin injections can provide tremendous relief from jaw soreness, headaches, and other unpleasant problems associated with Bruxism. 

By injecting small doses of Botulinum Toxin directly into the masseter muscle (the large muscle that moves the jaw), the muscle is weakened enough to stop involuntary grinding of the teeth and clenching of the jaw. This significantly relaxes the muscle.

Results typically lasts for 3 – 4 months.

A Rhinoplasty may be achieved by using combinations of treatments, such as Dermal Fillers and Botulinum Toxin A.  Botulinum Toxin is ideal for overactive, strong muscles attached on and around the nose. Selectively relaxing these muscles can result in an elevated the nasal tip, “bunny scrunch” reduction, and can reduce nasal flaring when you are animated e.g., talking or smiling.

Dermal Fillers are suitable for areas where volume restoration is advantageous. Threads lifting, is the most utilized option for most non-surgical nose jobs as their versatility allows for an individualized approach to any nose! The large selection of available thread types allows for correction of the nasal bridge, nasal tip (elevation and narrowing as requested), straightening of the nasal bridge, amongst other indications. 

Previous surgical rhinoplasties can also be treated and corrected where minor irregularities or asymmetries have occurred – reducing the need for re-operation. 

No – it is not a permanent treatment/procedure. It is dependent on the candidate and which treatment/procedure is more suitable together with budget restraints. 

Botulinum Toxin Injectables will most likely need to be repeated every 3-4 months. On average, approximately 15 units are used. 

Dependent on the Candidate and the concerned area, 1 to 2 dermal filler syringes may be needed. Results last anything from 9 to 14 months before the procedure needs to be repeated.

Thread rhinoplasties usually last around 12-36 months. 

Yes of course. However, it is always advisable that every candidate investigates the process thoroughly before commencing with a procedure.

This is patient dependent. Generally, you will receive HCG Booster injections which aid in reducing hunger and redistributing body fat evenly. You will also receive a supplement which treats high blood sugar levels and obesity related to compulsive overeating as it prevents the absorption of carbohydrates and increase satiety. Another supplement is a proprietary, caffeine free, catechin extract from green tea formulation. This improves the uptake of the product ingredients in the blood stream and of course serves as detoxification.

Fine vellus hair (fleecy/wispy) e.g. on the face is unlikely to respond to treatment, as the structure is different to terminal hair found on most of the body.

With darker skin types, the laser is attracted to the blood supply to the hair follicle.
